The Characters

Josh
Played by: Lorenzo James Henrie
Josh is a kind-hearted but awkward high school senior who sets off on a last-ditch mission to win over his longtime crush. With his future uncertain and his self-confidence shaky, Josh hopes one epic road trip to a music festival will change everything. What he finds instead is clarity, real friendship, and a shot at something much more meaningful than he expected.

Molly
Played by: Vanessa Marano
Molly is Josh’s clever, sarcastic best friend who may understand him better than anyone. While he focuses on impressing his crush, Molly is the one who truly supports him — even when he doesn’t see it. Her grounded nature and emotional intelligence are key to Josh's journey of growth, and it becomes clear she’s the person he’s been overlooking all along.

Kale
Played by: Gregg Sulkin
Kale is the school’s charming star athlete and Josh’s competition for Arielle’s attention. On the surface he’s smooth and popular, but underneath the swagger is someone who may not have everything figured out. Kale’s presence forces Josh to confront his own insecurities and misconceptions about love, status, and what it means to truly connect with someone.

Mr. Elmer
Played by: Jeff Garlin
Mr. Elmer is the lovable, if slightly out-of-touch, teacher who joins the road trip as a reluctant chaperone. His quirky attitude and unexpected wisdom bring levity and depth to the journey, as he helps the teens navigate not just the road ahead, but the transitions of growing up.

Zoey
Played by: Alyssa Jirrels
Zoey is the confident, stylish girl Josh believes he's meant to be with. Her spontaneity and social media flair make her magnetic, but as the trip unfolds, it becomes clear that Josh’s idea of love may have been more fantasy than reality.

Donnie
Played by: Bug Hall
Donnie is the rowdy older brother who lends his van — and his questionable advice — to the road trip effort. He brings chaotic energy and crude humor to the group, but also moments of unexpected guidance that nudge Josh toward important realizations.

Mikey
Played by: Jake Short
Mikey is Josh’s quirky best friend — a lover of snacks, pop culture, and saying exactly what’s on his mind. His comic relief and loyal support are constants on the journey, even when his ideas lead to hilarious detours.

Sebastian
Played by: David Henrie
Sebastian is a mysterious and charismatic figure who offers advice to Josh in unexpected ways. His role bridges the generational gap, reminding Josh of the importance of perspective, maturity, and intention.
